A bodywork session in Kaytlyn's warm, plant-filled sanctuary

Bodywork + Reiki with Kayt

Ways We
Return

Your body is not a problem to solve. It is a living home to listen to—with patience, respect, and care.

Book a session

Choose your doorway

Come home through
body or energy.

Some days the doorway is touch. Some days it is stillness. Both practices invite you to slow down, notice what is present, and receive support without needing to perform or push.

Return through the body

Massage that listens
before it asks.

Therapeutic bodywork can create space for the nervous system to settle and for the body to feel supported, sensed, and met.

01

What is fascia?

Fascia is a continuous web of connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, and organs. It helps transmit force and contributes to how we sense and move through the body.

Stress, injury, repetition, stillness, and protective tension can change how movement feels. Slow, respectful touch, movement, and breath may support comfort, mobility, and body awareness—without forcing your body or treating it as something that needs to be “broken up.”

02

What massage may support

  • Deep relaxation and nervous-system settling
  • Temporary relief from muscle tension or discomfort
  • Ease of movement and range of motion
  • Local circulation and warmth
  • Greater body awareness and reconnection

A session shaped around you

Bodywork may include therapeutic massage, slow broad touch, sustained pressure, stretching or positioning, heat, cupping, scraping, and Reiki. Every session follows your needs, comfort, boundaries, and consent.

Return through energy

Reiki is an invitation
to receive.

Reiki is a Japanese energy practice. The word is often translated as “universal life-force energy.” I understand it as a practice of unconditional loving presence: gentle, nonjudgmental attention offered without force.

How it feels

Quiet, gentle, spacious.

You may notice warmth, tingling, emotion, deep rest, sleepiness—or nothing dramatic at all. There is no right way to experience Reiki.

What happens

Fully clothed and always consensual.

Hands may rest lightly on the body or hover above it. Reiki can be received on its own or woven into bodywork when you choose.

What you need

No belief required.

Reiki is not a religion, diagnosis, or promise of a cure. You are welcome exactly as you are, with curiosity, skepticism, faith, or none of the above.

Kind words from the table

Care that continues
after the session.

“I’ve been coming back twice a month for three years. Kaytlyn is thoughtful, intuitive, knowledgeable, and incredibly effective. Every session leaves me feeling relaxed, balanced, and noticeably better for days afterward.”

— D. Henning

“The intentional time to focus on my own well being through meditation and bodywork offered by SoulHouse Return has been incredibly healing for me for a busy mom with young children.”

— Anika

Before you arrive

A few gentle answers.

You never need to know the perfect words or choose the perfect session before you come. We can begin by listening together.

How do I choose between massage therapy and Reiki?

Choose massage or bodywork when you want therapeutic touch, support for tension or movement, and time to reconnect with your body. Choose Reiki when you want a fully clothed, quiet session centered on rest and receiving. If you are unsure, book the doorway that feels closest and we can shape the session together.

What should I expect during massage therapy?

We will talk through what you need, your comfort, and any areas you want included or avoided. You undress only to your comfort level, professional draping is used throughout, and only the area being worked is uncovered. Pressure, position, techniques, and the plan can change at any time.

Do I need to believe in Reiki?

No. Reiki is not a religion, diagnosis, or promise of a cure. You are welcome with curiosity, skepticism, faith, or none of the above. You remain fully clothed, and hands may rest lightly on the body or hover above it according to your consent.

Can I change my mind or ask to stop?

Always. Consent is ongoing. You can request a different pressure, position, technique, area of focus, or no touch at all—and you can pause or end the session at any time.

Where is the sanctuary?

Sessions are held in a private studio in Union County, North Carolina. Exact arrival details are shared privately with booked clients rather than posted publicly.

Are weekend sessions available?

Weekend appointments are not listed online because availability changes with family life, but a limited Saturday or Sunday session may occasionally be possible. Email Kayt to ask about a weekend opening.

Come as you are

You do not have to know
which doorway you need.

We can begin with a conversation, listen to what your body is asking for, and shape the session together.
